We are seeking a highly skilled Senior UI/UX Designer to lead the design team and drive the creation of exceptional user interfaces and experiences.
Job Summary: The Senior UI/UX Designer will be responsible for designing and optimizing the user experience across digital platforms, including web and mobile applications. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, exceptional visual design skills, and the ability to translate complex requirements into intuitive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their expertise in both UI and UX design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Lead the UI/UX design process from concept to completion, including wireframing, prototyping, and final design. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly designs that meet client and business objectives.
- User Research: Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights and inform design decisions. Analyze user feedback and behavior to improve the overall user experience.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Create detailed wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and gather feedback from stakeholders and users.
- Visual Design: Develop visually appealing and consistent design systems, including style guides, UI components, and branding elements. Ensure that all designs are aligned with the company’s or client’s brand identity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design solutions are technically feasible and aligned with project goals. Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, providing support and fostering a collaborative and creative design environment. Lead design workshops and brainstorming sessions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies, and apply them to enhance the design process and deliver innovative solutions.
- Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to evaluate design effectiveness and iterate on designs based on user feedback and data.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, user journeys, and design decisions to support the development team and ensure consistency across projects.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a proven track record of delivering successful digital products. Experience in leading design projects is essential.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, and InVision.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end development principles.
- Experience with user research methods and usability testing.
- Design Expertise:
- Exceptional visual design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing work across web and mobile platforms.
- Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and design best practices.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and user feedback to inform design decisions. Strong problem-solving skills with a user-first mindset.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Management: Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Teamwork: A collaborative team player with experience working in multidisciplinary teams, including developers and product managers.
