Job Summary: The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies that align with the company’s goals. The role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, creativity in content creation, and the ability to engage with target audiences effectively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in growing social media presence and driving engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Develop and execute social media strategies across various platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn) to increase brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
- Content Creation: Create compelling and visually appealing content, including graphics, videos, and copy, that resonates with the target audience and drives engagement.
- Community Management: Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers on all social media platforms to build a strong online community and manage customer relationships.
- Campaign Management: Plan and manage social media advertising campaigns, including setting objectives, budgeting, targeting, and performance analysis.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyse key metrics, such as engagement rates, follower growth, and campaign performance, using tools like Google Analytics and platform-specific insights. Prepare regular reports and make data-driven recommendations.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices, and incorporate them into the company’s social media strategy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, graphic designers, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand message across all channels.
- Brand Advocacy: Identify and collaborate with influencers and brand advocates to amplify the company’s reach and influence on social media.
- Crisis Management: Handle any social media crises or negative feedback promptly and professionally, protecting the brand’s reputation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing, with a strong portfolio of successful campaigns.
- Platform Proficiency: Deep knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok) and experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer).
- Content Creation: Strong skills in content creation, including copywriting, graphic design, and video editing. Proficiency in tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret social media metrics and analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Creativity: A creative mindset with a keen eye for design and an understanding of what makes content shareable and engaging.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey brand messaging clearly and effectively.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with a team while also being self-motivated and capable of working independently.
