We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to oversee key projects and ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
Job Summary: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing multiple automotive projects, from initial concept through to completion. This role requires a strong understanding of project management methodologies, excellent communication skills, and experience in the automotive sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client expectations.
- Budget Management: Manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints and profitability targets are met.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, motivation, and support to ensure project success. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, challenges, and milestones. Facilitate communication between internal teams, clients, and suppliers.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations. Implement quality control processes as required.
- Schedule Management: Track project progress against the schedule, adjusting plans as necessary to meet deadlines. Ensure that any deviations are communicated and addressed promptly.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, reports, and records of decisions and changes.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within project management practices and contribute to the continuous enhancement of project delivery capabilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or PMP/Prince2 certification is advantageous.
- Experience: At least 5 years of project management experience in the automotive industry, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects successfully.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive industry standards, product development processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Project Management: Proficient in project management methodologies and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). Experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies is preferred.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and business concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and manage challenges effectively.
- Time Management: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
